I have been going to Downtown Disney for years. Today I took my parent to meet my sister and her two girls for lunch.
We had a great lunch at Storybook cafe. The lunch was almost 300 dollars with tip. I asked to validate parking which they have down without an issue for the last few year. They told my that in August of this year they were no longer able to validate parking for Downtown Disney but they could if I parked in the Hotel parking.
what makes matters worse is I initially pulled into the hotel parking area but I was told it was for Hotel guests and instructed to park at the Downtown Disney parking. I thought yep I turned in too early so I parked. Disney charged me 30 dollars for parking only because they gave me bad instructions.
The parking attendant could care less that they provided bad instruction. Disney's has become so popular that greed is replacing customer satisfaction.
Reason of review: Changes to parking validation rules.
Monetary Loss: $30.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
I didn't like: Change in downtown disney parking rules.
