The worst place in the world. We paid for nine tickets, all of them with lightning passes, and didn't even get on one ride.
Disgustingly packed, all the employees are so rude, and that's why none of them have smiles on their faces. They treat you more like prisoners than customers who bought tickets, and the lightning passes are worthless; do not buy.
With the lightning passes, you still have to make an appointment 10 minutes before you go to each ride on the app and still have to wait an hour to get on the ride. We couldn't even find Mickey or any of the other characters for the three hours that we were there.
- Beautiful place
- Terrible business motto with the lightning passes and way too overcrowded
- Terrible customer service
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Do not go there and instead go to Universal Studios or Legoland but if you do do not waste your money on lightning passes total garbage

Verified ReviewerBad Disneyland experience
I went to Disneyland with 9 family and friends on the 28th of September. We hired a car went to our hotel and legged it to Disneyland around 2pm I was shocked how packed the park was with people it was crazy and to overcrowded.
It took over and hour for one ride and we couldnt get a table to eat for food anywhere. Two of our party Robert and Jennifer Martin went to guest services and got a refund as jenny is going through chemotherapy and couldnt cope with the crowds and was tired . So then we had 8 left then after another hour my husband Russell Davies took Shirley Lang home who was sad her ride its a small world was shut for renovations. She had wanted to go on this ride since she was a young girl.
This was her first time to Disneyland but was also tired of the crowds as she is 82 . We wanted to go on the Sunday but you have the not so scary party and we couldnt afford both . We wanted to see the fireworks that night so it had to be Saturday. We now had 6 left thankfully guest services helped with some lighting lane passes and the haunted house and seats for the fireworks ( which were fabulous) so the ones who stayed did have a good Disney experience in the end .
I really do think you need to limit your numbers in the park to make it more enjoyable for all . It was a shame a few attractions and food venues were shut too . Anyway what Im asking for is a refund for Shirley Lang who only lasted two hours and only had one ride on pirates of the Caribbean so she didnt get her moneys worth. It cost $280 Australian .
I felt bad as I had talked her into going as I said it would be fun . Hopefully you can help many thanks Linda Davies
User's recommendation: Don’t go if you don’t like crowds Disney pack in to many people to make $$$$$$

Verified Reviewer |Rude staff
I have low blood sugar and high anxiety. The staff refused to give me time to go on the rides, which I do every year.
I showed them paperwork of my severe anxiety. They were very rude and denied accessibility. I don't know if it was racism because I wear a hijab. In addition, most of the rides were under construction or broken that day.
These included rides like Indiana Jones, Peter Pan's Flight, and Space Mountain.
I had panic attacks throughout the day. It was a horrible experience and I was a frequent guest.

Good morning I was there yesterday me and my family I purchased four tickets. It cost me $1180 plus parking of $35 plus I spent some money for $400 food and toys for my kids.
The customer service was very bad they were very rude because my wife was wearing hijab because we are Muslim. They treat us like *** and my kids. They were crying when we entered the other park and the lady she was rude to my wife and Im sure you guys have camera to check everything out. It happened at 6:31 one to the different park.
I would love to have my money back for the customer service. You guys gave us. Its not worth it to pay this much money and get that service from you guys. Another thing there is no areas for smoking.
Thats really bad and there is no area to my praying I went to pray on one of the corner, they kicked me out so you can do that here and they said were gonna call the security. I said go ahead and call them and the security came and nothing happened.
User's recommendation: Don’t go there very bad service very very rude. They have no customer service at all.

I previously purchased tickets but was not able to use them. Disney gave me time but I still was not able to use the tickets.
Can I transfer them to a relative?
If so, how or what is the process? Thank you, Darryl Keck.

Verified Reviewer |Tired before I even arrived.
Streamline the process for tickets and reservations. It is cumbersome, confusing, and requires too many steps.
Pricing is way too high. Once you're in the park, the gouging begins.
Food and drink costs are too high. Lodging is overpriced.
User's recommendation: Stay outside the park. Pack food.
Can’t find purchased tickets to make reservations
The representative was extremely patient and helpful. She taught me how to find my profile on the app and find my tickets and reservations.
User's recommendation: be patient. It take a while to be connected.

I received excellent guidance from Jimmy. He answered my questions patiently, kindly and with a sense of humor.
Jimmy also advised me to call anytime with questions.
FYI, I find all the app/tech details cumbersome and, at times, confusing.
Kinda takes the fun out of the visit. It would be great if some of this could be streamlined.

Verified ReviewerDisney trip unexpected death
Good day. I am writing to express how upset my family and I are about how unwilling Disney is to work with ticket holders in the event of a death in the family. We have four tickets to the Oogie Boogie bash for September 10th, and four tickets to Disneyland for September 11th.
My son, Jonah, who is 17 and on the Autism spectrum, lost his dad, my ex, last week. We are not able to attend due to this. I understand your no refund policy, but his dad just died. Not only will we not get a refund - which I don't want - but this was also his first trip to Disney! Not only did he lose his dad, but we can't even have that money put towards getting new tickets!
We saved for nine months to be able to afford this trip. We still have to pay extra to upgrade the tickets we did buy for the 11th, because they are a tier 0.
I am writing this in despair for help. Please don't make me break his heart all over again by having to tell him that we now can't go at all because we can't afford new tickets. I've already called the ticket phone number and spoke to a supervisor. She said, 'I'm sorry but there's nothing I can do.'
I can provide a death certificate, and even my son's birth certificate proving that this was his father. I am begging for help to still be able to make this happen for my son. Especially now, he could use some magic and happiness in his world.
If there is any way you can help us, it would be so greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Verified Reviewer |Lightening lanes and disney genie +
I took my family to disneyland last week to experience this park instead of disneyworld on my east coast. I purchased the lightening lane passes and genie + with my package deal and regret all the extra money for both of these items.
Lightening lane access was not able to be used if the waits were what seemed around 90 mins or less and different times of the day they would turn it off as well.
As for genie + we only found 1 photographer in the park unlike disneyworld that has an abundance. For the $1k I spent for airfare, hotel, tickets, food etc I could of spend $5k taking family to disney world in FL again.
User's recommendation: If you wanna visit the original park, this is a great place to do that. They have wonderful shows in the evening and fireworks. I stayed at the Courtyard at theme park. Entrance, and they were fabulous there in the hotel.Itself was fabulous. We did a beach day. At laguana park, which was wonderful, too. If anything I would just recommend saving money on, i'm not purchasing the genie plus and not doing the lightning lane pass.

Verified Reviewer |Overcrowded
This place was so overcrowded that you could barely walk down the streets. The other park-goers have zero manners and would cut in front of you, stop right in front of you, push to get around you.
Its like they dont know how to act around people. We waited for an hour in a roped off spot for the fireworks in front of the castle. The staff just let people cut in the area 5 minutes before they started and push their way in front of people that had been saving a spot for an hour. I read, Disney reported weaker-than-expected results for its theme-parks division in its latest earnings.
My guess is they are trying to recover losses by giving out a ton of local deals to bring in people locally. And this cohort of guest do not have any desire to wait their turn, not cut in line, they act like they own the place.
Except the people from out of town paid five times the amount they paid to be there that day. It was awful.

Exactly! A one year old would be just as happy at Chuck E Cheese or McDonalds!
I doubt that the employees were rude. Also the park being packed it not their fault.
Since you decided to stay at the park, you are NOT ENTITLED TO a refund.
Your child is one, I doubt he care either way. If his birthday was ruined, it was probably because of YOUR behavior.
You went to a theme park that average 50,000 visitors per day and have the nerve to be upset they were busy AND that others had the idea to also buy the lightning passes?!!! Disneyland generally does not give refunds, except in unique circumstances.
you definitely do not qualify for a refund. The reason you probably you probably didn't see any cast members is because it's hard to accommodate 50K people at the same time! How can you say they ruined a 1 year old's birthday? If your baby was upset it is because they were over-stimulated and you probably were acting upset and outraged.
I think if anyone ruined a one year old's birthday, it was you!
When my child was 1, I had a cookout in the backyard with friends and family and my child could not have cared less about his cake or new toys or anyone visiting. He just wanted to play with the wrapping paper!
